Description
Hooded merganser hen from Smith Falls, Ontario, 2nd quarter 20th century.
Similar to the work of David W. Nichol with relief carved wing tips and incised wing feathers. Extended crest and glass eyes.
CONDITION: Old in use repaint with minor flaking and wear; hairline seem in bill were it was reglued; one eye may be replaced.
Provenance: Peter Brown collection to the benefit of DU Canada.
