Black duck, Ben Schmidt, Detroit, Michigan, 2nd quarter 20th century.
Relief wing and incised feather carving and stamping. Branded 'HLR' in the underside. Order by F.A. Davis from Schmidt for use on his Bray's Island Plantation, Sheldon, South Carolina.
CONDITION: Original paint with minor very minor wear; tight crack in neck; filled crack in back from when the decoy was made.
