Red breasted merganser hen, Davison Hawthorne, Salisbury, Maryland.
Relief wing tip carving, carved eyes, and scratch feather paint detail. Raised neck seat with slightly turned head. Signed ‘DB Hawthorne’ on the underside.
CONDITION: Original paint with very minor wear and a small amount of paint shrinkage on breast, otherwise excellent and original.
