Description

Hollow carved black duck found in Montreal, Quebec, circa 1930.

Hollowed with raised neck seat, detailed bill carving, and slight feather rasping.  Keel was removed.  Measures 18" long.

CONDITION:  Paint appears original with minor flaking and wear mostly on head; old thin coat of varnish; very good structurally.

Provenance:  Peter Brown collection to the benefit of DU Canada.
