Sculptural scoter from Matinicus Island, Maine, 1 quarter 20 century.
“HEA” carved in underside, old label attributes the initials to Harold E. Ames. Long inlet attaching neck and body. Draw shave marks visible.
CONDITION: Old working repaint with minor discoloration and wear; moderately hit by shot; old repair to chip in underside of bill.
