Pair of 'Up river' style canvasbacks, Madison Mitchell, Havre de Grace, Maryland, circa 1950's.

These oversize, fat body decoys were for use on the Susquehanna River north of Havre de Grace.  The drake has a copper tag with the name Russell Moore, Columbia, PA, the hens has been removed.  Both with thick leather line ties and remnents of the heavy rope rigging.

CONDITION:  Original paint with minor discoloration and wear; both have cracks in the neck; hen with tight cracks in one side; drake with a crack running the length of the back and down the breast.  A nice regmate pair.
