Description

Pair of hollow carved mallards, Michael Salvatore, Trenton, New Jersey.

Carved in the Delaware River tradition with raised wing tips.  Drake is in swimming pose with inserted tail sprig and scratch feather painting.  Hen is in resting, turned head position with 'sleepy' eyes.  Both have copper tags with the makers name and address on the underside.  Both have lead weights with the makers name and town carved on the sides and a stylized duck carved on the underside.

CONDITION:  Hen has an old chip in the tip of the bill, otherwise both are very well made and near mint.
