Black duck and mallard hen, Mason Decoy Factory, Detroit, Michigan, 1st quarter 20th century.
Black duck is standard grade with glass eyes. Measures 16" long.
Mallard hen is standard grade with tack eyes. Masures just under 16" long.
CONDITION: Black duck in original paint with moderate wear; drying cracks in body; replaced neck filler; a few flaking spots have been darkened; mallard hen in original paint with minor wear; small chip in tail; replaced neck filler; bill repair; filler at defects in wood from when the decoy was made has flaked some.
