Description

Three greater yellowlegs from the south shore of Massachusetts, 1st quarter 20th century.

Relief carved wings with pronounced heart shape on backs.  Split tail carving, iron bills, and tack eyes.  One is feeding pose.  Measure from 14 1/4" to 16" tip of bill to tip of tail.  Natural wood stand included.

CONDITION:  Original paint with minor to moderate wear; tight crack in the underside of one; tight crack through teo necks; old varnish has crazed and flaked in areas; crack in one back with old touch up to the dark areas of that bird.
