Description

Hollow carved Blair school pintail hen, last quarter 19th century.

Hollow carved with slightly turned head and tack eyes.  Branded ‘RA Stockton’ and ‘AH’ in the underside.  Head and neck seat has always been turned.  Measures 15 1/4” long.

CONDITION:  Early in use repaint as a mallard hen with minor wear; lightly hit by shot; old chip in tip of tail; small loss to wood were a small nail was added to the back of neck.
