Description

Hutchins's or small Canada goose from New Jersey, 1st quarter 20th century.

Hollow carved with raised neck seat and tack eyes.  Two wooden dowels or plugs in the back.  Bottom 3/4" of neck seat is a separate piece and appears to have been made that way.  Decoy was reportedly found under Tom Fitzpatrick's boat house.  Measures 16" long.

CONDITION:  Old in use repaint with minor to moderate wear; tight drying cracks; head is slightly loose; tip of bill has been glued back on.
