Description

Canada goose bookend, Dr. Lewis Webb Hill, Boston, Massachusetts, circa 1930.

Dr Hill (1889-1968) was a prominent Boston pediatrician.  He was friends with Dr. John C. Phillips and Dr. George Ross Starr Jr.  Relief carved wings and wing tip feathers.  Mounted on hardwood base for use as a bookend.  Measures 9 3/4" long and 7" tall with base.  See the March-April and May-June 2013 issues of 'Hunting & Fishing Collectibles Magazine' for articles about Dr. Lewis Webb Hill.

CONDITION:  Two piece neck was reset at the seam with a small amount of touch up at seam, otherwise very good and original.
