Description

Cork merganser hen, Smith Clinton Verity, Seaford, New York, last quarter 19th century.

Two piece cork body with wooden head.  Carved eyes and wooden dowels attaching head to body.  Measures 14 1/4" long.

CONDITION:  Original paint with minor wear; small dents and separations to cork; reglued crack in bill; chip in one side of bill with early touch up; lightly hit by shot.
