Description

Cork and wood merganser hen, Freeport, Long Island, 1st quarter 20th century.

From the rig of Perry Cobb.  Cork body with wooden bottom board and head with carved eyes.  Measures 15 3/4" long.

CONDITION:  Original paint with minor wear; dents and shot marks; separations in cork seems; nails added to base of neck; chip in one side of neck seat.

Provenance:  Dick Cowan collection.
