Description

Pair of wood ducks, Josef Wooster, Ashley, Ohio.

Hollow carved with inserted, crossed wing tips.  Relief carved wings and detailed feather carving.  Slightly turned heads and hen with tucked head.  Both signed on the undersides.  Measure 12 3/4” and 13 1/2” long.

CONDITION:  Hen has minor paint rubs and a very small chip in one raised wing feather; drake’s head and one raised wing feather have been cracked off and reglued; most of the other raised wing tip is missing.
