Mallard drake, Nicole Vidacovich, New Orleans, Louisiana.
Long body with relief wing carving, turned head, and upswept tail. Measures 15 3/4” long.
CONDITION: Restored, aged paint with minor wear; head was not originally turned but neck seat and base of neck were reshaped when head was turned; minor roughness on edge of tail; loss of filler at a defect in wood on underside; reglued crack in neck; old filler added on one side of head.
