Description

Pair of hollow carved widgeon, Charles ‘Pete’ Wilbur, Island Heights, New Jersey.

Hollow carved with slight relief carved wing tips.  ‘CW’ branded into underside.  Drake stamped ‘SGH’ twice on underside for the collection of Somers Headley.  Measure 14 1/2” and 14 3/4” long.

CONDITION:  Original paint with very minor wear; tiny chip in back of hen; hairline crack in one side of drake’s neck and one of drake’s eye.
