Merganser hen, Captain Stites York, Cape May, New Jersey, last quarter 19th century.
Hollow carved with extended crest and inlet lead weight on the underside. One glass and one tack eyes. Measures 15 3/4” long.
CONDITION: Old paint with moderate to significant wear; chip in tip of crest; bill is a later replacement.
