Pair of canvasbacks, Walter Strubing, Marine City, Michigan, 2nd quarter 20th century.
Large decoys with relief carved wing tips and detailed bill carving. Deep keels and typical thick stipple paint detail. Measure 18 1/4" long.
CONDITION: Typical thick paint appears original with very minor wear; some touch up to small flakes and a shot strike on bills; hairline crack in drake's breast from when the decoys were made.
