Two large godwits, William Gibian, Onancock, Virginia.
Relief wing carving and 'Gibian' carved into the undersides. One with raised wing tips and carved musculature of the neck. Measure 16 1/2" and 14 1/4" long.
CONDITION: Larger one with minor sap bleed and paint shrinkage on breast, otherwise excellent and original.
