Pair of bluebills, Dick Bonner, Grand Rapids,  Michigan, circa 1950's.

Balsa body with inserted tail.  'DB' stamped on keel of hen.  Dick Bonner was born and raised in Grand Rapids and began carving decoys for his own use at the age of 14.  He moved to Louisiana in 1974 where he focused on his decorative competition carvings.  Measure 13 1/2" and 14 1/2" long.

CONDITION:  Original paint with minor wear; both with some blunting to tip of tail; drake with a second coat to the black on the underside.
