Description

Pair of pintails, Madison Mitchell, Havre de Grace, Maryland.

Hen with slightly turned head.  ‘BB’ branded into the bottom of each.  Iron keel weight on the underside of drake.  Measure 15 3/4” and 17 3/4” long.

CONDITION:  Paint appears to be a thin second coat by Mitchell with minor wear; tight crack in the underside of each; hairline crack in one side of hen’s neck seat; cracks in drake’s neck.

Provenance:  The Waterfowl Festival’s 50th Anniversary Collection.  Donated to them in 2012 by the Honorable Nicholas F. Brady, former United States Secretary of the Treasury.
