Description
Hollow carved mallard from Louisiana, 2nd quarter 20th century.
Hollow carved with 1/4" bottom board. Slightly turned head and relief wing tip carving. Old collector label on underside with 'Ralph L LeGaux, Meraux, LA' on it. Measures 18 1/2" long.
CONDITION: Thick, appealing paint appears to be a second coat with very minor wear; flaking and minor separation around bottom board; filler added to underside near tail.
