Two fish decoys, Mt. Clemens area, Michigan.
One Alex Meldrum, wooden tail with metal fins, 4 ½” in length. See page 40, Beneath the Ice and Page 121, American Fish Decoys.
CONDITION: Paint on underside appears to be original; worn to bare wood at top. 4 3/4” in length.
Second fish appears to be Meldrum family, carved gills, carved mouth, wooden tail with metal fins, measures 5”.
CONDITION: traces of old paint, appears to be a mix of original and second coat; otherwise excellent.
