Black duck, attributed to Frank Sidebotham II from the Delaware River. 

Illustrated in Decoys of the Jersey Coast and Delaware River Valley, Kenneth Gosner (Plate 9B.) Hollow carved in a sleeping position, head is inletted into the body at the bill, measures 13 ½”.

CONDITION: Dry original paint worn to bare wood in many places; knot hole has sunken in slightly on one side; slight separation to body halves; slight cracking at base of head; otherwise excellent.
