Flying yellowlegs, William Gibian, Onancock, Virginia.
Bird is attached to custom base on copper wire. Detail feather carving on wings and tail. Bird's bill is slightly open, in a excellent flying and calling pose. "Gibian" is carved into the underside of one wing. Measures 15" tall, with a 21" wingspan.
CONDITION: Very small spots of paint missing on bill and wingtips; very small scuff and crack to one wing tip; some small spots of paint missing from pewter toes; otherwise excellent and very well done.
