Description
Mallard drake from Louisiana, 2nd quarter 20th century.
Body by Charles Gay, New Orleans with relief wing carving and upswept tail. Replaced head by Mitchell LaFrance, New Orleans with glass eyes.
CONDITION: Original paint with moderate flaking, craving, and wear; head is an early replacement by Mitchell LaFrance with some dents on top.
Provenance: Harry Lee collection.
