Description

Miniature long-eared owl, Helen Lay Strong, Seneca Falls, New York, dated 1962.

Nicely carved with turned head, relief wing carving, raised wing tips, and pipe cleaner tufted feet.  Signed and dated on the underside of wood base.  Helen's work is held in the collections of many promanent museums.  Measures 5" tall including base.

CONDITION:  Excellent and original.

Provenance:  Part of a group of owl's by Strong that will be sold over the next few weeks.
