Description
Hollow carved bluebill from New Jersey.
Appears to have been reheaded and repainted by Lem Ward in the 1970’s. Reheaded in preening pose. Thick stipple paint on back. Measures 13 1/2” long.
CONDITION: Repaint attributed to Lem Ward with very minor wear; drying cracks in head and body; chip or missing tail on one side of tail where it meets body.
