Pair of bluebills from Ohio or Wisconsin, 2nd quarter 20th century.
Tucked heads with tack eyes and humped backs. Concave carving on top of bill. Decoy by the same maker attributed to Ohio is pictured on page 128 of 'Great Lakes Decoy Interpretations' by Gene and Linda Kangas. Measure 11 1/2” long.
CONDITION: Mix of original paint with moderate wear and some early working repaint; flaking to filler at neck seat; small dents and shot marks.
