Description
Merganser drake, Ben Annis, Bloxom, Virginia, 2nd quarter 20th century.
Carved crest, carved eyes, and raised neck seat. Similar to the work of Ira Hudson. Measures 15 1/2” long.
CONDITION: Original paint with minor to moderate wear; thin wash of second paint on the white; tight drying cracks in body; chip and roughness on one edge of tail; cracks in neck and neck seat with glue visible.
