Merganser drake from Maine or Nova Scotia, 2nd quarter 20th century.
Unpainted underside and thin paint pattern with some scratch feather detail on back near tail. Measures 15” long.
CONDITION: Original paint with minor wear; early second coat on the white, possibly done in the making; lightly hit by shot; reglued crack through neck.
