Description
Cork bluebill, Charles ‘Shang’ Wheeler, Stratford, Connecticut.
Cork body with wooden keel. Dr. George Ross Starr collection ink stamp on one side of keel. Measures 14 1/4” long.
CONDITION: Second coat of paint by Wheeler with moderate flaking and wear; dents and cracks in cork; some separation at a diagonal body seam; reglued crack in the bill.
